Why should I take essiac?

Most people take essiac as an alternative or complementary supplement to conventional (but inherently destructive) cancer treatment. Some take it because they believe it reduces the side effects of chemotherapy or radiation. Others take it as a daily supplement to promote general wellness or as a preventive measure against disease, due to its apparent immune system-enhancing properties. An increasing number of people administer it to their pets, claiming it reduces the pain of arthritis and extends the life (and improves the quality of life) of pets with terminally ill cancer.
